The Cooler Master MasterFan MF120 Halo² is a redesigned 120mm chassis cooling fan featuring improvements to airflow, cooling performance and lighting. It uses enlarged Air Balance fan blades and a hybrid frame design for use in compatible desktop PC cooling configurations.
The MF120 Halo² features Air Balance fan blades that are 10% larger than the previous design. The increased blade size is designed to provide enhanced airflow and improved cooling performance.
Cooler Master’s hybrid frame structure provides stability while maintaining the operational area required by the fan. Its cooling characteristics are further optimized through a fine-tuned P-Q curve to improve both airflow and pressure.
Dual Loop ARGB Gen 2 lighting surrounds the fan and provides customizable illumination. The larger LED rings are designed to enhance illumination by 50% while retaining the dual-loop lighting appearance of the MasterFan Halo series.
The fan uses dynamic 4-pin PWM speed control with an operating range from 0 RPM up to 2,050 RPM. This allows compatible systems to adjust fan speed according to cooling requirements, including 0 RPM operation where supported.
An enhanced driver IC is incorporated to improve cooling performance while minimizing fan noise. This allows the fan to balance cooling requirements and acoustic performance according to its operating speed.
The MF120 Halo² also includes clips designed to secure cable connections. An extended 3-pin ARGB plug supports daisy-chain connections, allowing the lighting connection to be extended to multiple compatible devices and motherboard ARGB headers.
